CardioDex, Ltd. Develops and manufactures an innovative disposable solution for the closure of arterial access sites following endovascular catheterization procedures.
CardioDex’ product is aimed at offering quick and ease of use with safe and reliable closure technology.
The Company was founded by one of the renowned medical entrepreneurs in Israel, Dr. Shimon Eckhouse, a scientist with vast experience and international successes. Dr. Eckhouse was the founder, CEO and Chairman of ESC Lumenis (NASDAQ: LUME) a company that reached sales of more than USD 440 million and a market cap of over USD 1 billion.
The Company’s quality management system has been successfully certified since 2007 and is currently registered to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003.
The company’s closure device, offers a way to overcome the limitations that cardiologists, radiologists cath-labs and patients are currently confronted with, in an innovative manner.
CardioDex’s product do not use any glue, collagen, suturing or other foreign materials that might promote a clinical reaction, and do not deposit any residual material in the patient’s body. In addition, the product do not require exchange of the introducer sheath, and permits re-access to the artery should a non-deployment occur.
The Company enjoys a rich intellectual proprietary portfolio and a strong and concrete IP coverage for its current and future technology applications.
CardioDex enjoys the support of a clinical advisory board that consists of distinguished and well-acclaimed physicians who have gained worldwide recognition in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery and related research. The Scientific Advisory Board includes among others Prof. Charles Davidson. The strong collaboration with this respected team of cardiologists is a solid indication of their belief in the company and its products.
